The Tekelec Application Gateway provides flexible and powerful application support for existing legacy SMSCs and Tekelec SMS Routers.
Via the use of a flexible, rules based engine the Application Gateway enables operators to optimize their networks by intelligently distributing application traffic (AO and AT) across legacy SMSCs and SMS Routers. Sophisticated, load-balancing mechanisms provide a fully configurable distribution of application SMS traffic.
An enhanced QoS capability enables the allocation of network resources for different services, such as high throughput for bulk messaging. The Application Gateway dynamically throttles low-priority SMS traffic to provide committed bandwidth for higher priority applications.
