Frank Plastina

President & Chief Executive Officer

Frank Plastina was appointed President and CEO of Tekelec in February 2006. He brings more than 20 years of senior executive and management experience in the telecommunications industry with companies including Proxim Corporation, Warburg Pincus LLC and Nortel Networks Corporation. Prior to joining Tekelec, Mr. Plastina was executive in residence at Warburg Pincus, where he was responsible for evaluating potential investments and providing executive support to its portfolio companies. Previously, Mr. Plastina was executive chairman of Proxim, a provider of Wi-Fi and broadband wireless access products. During Mr. Plastina’s 15-year career at Nortel, he held a series of executive-level positions in the company’s Wireless, Internet Service Providers, Signaling Solutions, Mergers & Acquisitions and Finance Groups. Most recently, he was president of Nortel’s multi-billion dollar Metro and Enterprise Networks business unit, in which he led the successful development and marketing of the company’s VoIP products to service providers, enterprises and government entities.

Wolrad Claudy

Executive Vice President, Global Sales

Wolrad Claudy is Tekelec’s Executive Vice President for Global Sales. Previously, he was Tekelec’s Managing Director for Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia, India and Australia. Wolrad has over 15 years of experience in the telecom industry, including significant experience working with a variety of multinational companies. At Inet Technologies, he was VP of Sales for EMEA for five years. Prior to Inet, Wolrad worked for DSC’s STP division and for Alcatel’s Switching Division. He has a diploma in Physics from the University of Stuttgart, Germany.

Ronald de Lange

Executive Vice President, Global Product Solutions

Ronald J. de Lange joined Tekelec in July 2005 as president and general manager for the Network Signaling Group. He is a 24-year veteran of Lucent Technologies, where he held a number of leadership roles. In his most recent position as vice president of Convergence Solutions, he led merger, acquisition and integration efforts. He directed next-gen strategy, devising cross-functional convergence solutions and has managed a number of functions, including sales, marketing, manufacturing and finance.

Chief Technology Officer

Vince Lesch has been working in the telecom and communications software industries for more than 20 years. He brings a unique perspective and diverse background having spent time with a variety of companies, ranging from large communications services providers, such as AT&T, to early stage software startups engaged in interactive advertising. He previously held positions with Bell Laboratories, Lucent, and General Electric in engineering, product management and marketing and has served on the board of the IMS/NGN Forum and the strategic advisory board for Solid Technologies which was acquired by IBM.

Stuart Kupinsky

Senior Vice President, Corporate Affairs and General Counsel

Stuart H. Kupinsky joined in Tekelec in April 2007. Mr. Kupinsky most recently served as senior vice president, general counsel and secretary for Cadence Innovation LLC in Troy, Mich. Previously, Kupinsky served as the general counsel for Exide Technologies, a multibillion dollar public company in Alpharetta, Ga. Kupinsky also served as the general counsel of Teligent, Inc. in Vienna, Va., and as an attorney in the Antitrust Division of the U.S. Department of Justice and with the Federal Communications Commission following private practice and a clerkship.

Senior Vice President, Operations

Dave Rice joined Tekelec as Senior Vice President, Operations in 2006. Dave has over 20 years of operations experience in the telecommunications equipment industry. Most recently serving as Vice President, Global Materials Management at Nortel where he was responsible for global supply chain planning, fulfillment execution to support revenue assurance, delivery performance and inventory management. Previously at Nortel he also served in a number of senior management roles including Vice President, Wireline & Optical Supply Chain Operations and Plant Manager, Wireless GSM Access.

Susie Kim Riley

Chief Marketing Officer

As the Chief Marketing Officer of Tekelec, Riley is responsible for shaping the overall strategy for the company, and to set the pace for the industry by continuing to drive control plane leadership for service providers worldwide. Tekelec’s technologies play a strategic role in the heart of the operators’ networks and our unique vantage point makes us the natural trusted partner to help service providers address both their business and technical challenges.

Riley comes to Tekelec through the Camiant acquisition. Since founding Camiant in 2003, Riley has been well recognized as the thought leader and key advocate for policy control. She brings more than 20 years of technology innovation and development focused primarily around policy control, quality of service, and networking. Riley held technical and management leadership roles at other successful startup companies including Broadband Access Systems (Acquired by ADC), Maker Communications (Acquired by Conexant) and Proteon. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University.

Gregory Rush

Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer

Gregory Rush was appointed Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer in April 2010, following five years of service as Tekelec’s Corporate Controller and principal accounting officer. He came to Tekelec from Siebel Systems, Inc, where he served as Senior Director of Finance, External Reporting & Acquisitions. Previously, he was Senior Director, Business Analysis and Financial Reporting for Quintiles Transnational Corp. Mr. Rush began his career in public accounting, serving numerous high technology companies at Ernst & Young and PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he most recently was a Senior Manager.

Vice President, Information Technology and Chief Information Officer

Marykay Wells joined Tekelec in May 2007. As Vice President, Information Technology and Chief Information Officer, Wells is responsible for Tekelec’s global enterprise network with specific emphasis on reliability and evolution to support changing business requirements. She brings 20 years of proven IT knowledge to Tekelec through experience in multiple senior leadership positions at Nortel including the guidance of infrastructure management, the delivery of strategic technology initiatives, and the development of internal customer solutions. Most recently, Wells served as Nortel’s interim CIO. Prior to joining Nortel, Wells was a member of the General Electric Company team.
